Good oral health is important for healthy nervous, immune, and vascular systems that help protect and nourish the oral tissues, as well as our brain and the rest of the body. You cannot be healthy without oral health.
Ms. Rublee will speak about
1) what is meant by oral health;
2) how the Governor's Task Force is working to improve access;
3) Wisconsin strategies to address the issues today and in the future;
4) the expanding role of dental hygienists as allied health care providers to address provider shortages; and
5) changes in care and improved access relative to health care reform.

About Nancy J. Rublee
Nancy J. Rublee, RDH, CDHC, is the Price County Public Health Dental Hygienist. Ms. Rublee graduated from Marquette University School of Dental Hygiene in 1974 and has served on local, state, and national committees to address the expanding need for clinicians. In June 2010, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle re-appointed her to the state Dentistry Examining Board in June 2010. Nancy was contracted as the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Beyond Lip Service Grant Manager in the northern region from 2003-2007, and serves on the steering committee member of the Wisconsin Oral Health Coalition. She also is a member of the executive board of Northern Highlands Area Health Education Center(NHAHEC).
